AYNHOE PARK FACSIMILIES
RH ENGLAND - FACTUM FOUNDATION
Factum Foundation was tasked by RH England with the creation of a series of facsimiles that will form part of the restoration and refurbishment of Aynhoe Park, a 17th-century country estate in Oxfordshire. The re-materialised pieces are a tribute to the work of Sir John Soane to who remodelled Aynhoe in 1798.
Facsimiles of 4 architectural models of ancient buildings and their respective plinths were produced.
In addition to the facsimiles we also produced a physical rematerialisation of the facade of the Sir John Soane's Museum. The facade was CNC-milled in high-density polyurethane before being primed and painted. Some details, such as the brickwork and the sculptural elements, were 3D printed.
Matt modelled the Parthenon building and contributed to the modelling of the Soane Musuem facade. Matt also prepared files and 3D printed many fine detail pieces for the architectural buildings and the Musuem facade.
